Year 6 has won the attendance award this week, this means that they will get additional playtime everyday next week as their prize! Well done Year 6, I wonder who will be in the winner for the following week!

Well done to the following children who have achieved Hot Chocolate with the Head. Year 5 have started a new writing cycle focusing on setting description. On Monday we took an immersive ‘trip’ to the desert and rainforest. We used ambitious vocabulary to describe what we could hear, see, smell and feel, ready for our big write next week....

In Maths, we have been learning how to add and subtract money. We used part whole mats and money to practise subtracting different amounts....
On our school trip the the Horniman Museum, Year 2 went pond dipping and minibeast hunting! We were so excited to see so many different types of beasts and enjoyed learning about and looking at their habitats and microhabitats....
In our Computing lesson, we have been learning about using technology to record and enter data. We made pictograms to record our class’ favourite colours, fruits and mini beasts!...
In Maths, Year 2 have been practising their directional skills. We used triangles to work our whether it had turned a quarter, half, three quarter or full turn. We also reminded ourselves about whether an object was turning clockwise or anti-clockwise....
In PSHE we have been learning about how humans and other animals change as they grow. Some get taller, some change colour and some change shape completely! Here we played a matching game with young and fully developed animals....
We went on an amazing trip to the Postal Museum. Whilst there, we learned a lot of history about the postal service, had a Jolly postman interactive session, explored the exhibition spaces and play room and even got to ride the mail ride! What a......
The babies had a blast decorating their sensory box in the sun. They each took turns to pick out a paint colour and used their hands to spread the paint on the box....
We continued to explore our ‘country comparison’ topic by looking at the differences between where we live and Nigeria in Africa. We looked at the differences in the building, the food, and the animals. We made our own recipe booked and role played the story....
Our new topic is ‘Hooray For Fish’. My friends and I rescued the sea creatures which were wrapped in pipe cleaners. This was a great activity for our fine motor skills and we had so much fun whilst doing it!...
