As the term ends we are beginning to prepare for September 2023 and the changes this will bring. We will be saying goodbye to a few of our teachers who are heading off on their next adventure. Ms Hannah Williams is moving abroad to teach in another country, Mr Sam Smith is going on his travels for a year, starting with Europe. Ms Chi Chi Freeman is going to be continuing her teaching career and stepping up into a new role in a school out of Hackney and Ms Sophia Jama is moving to a school closer to her new home. We wish them all the best in the next chapter of their lives and thank them for their contributions to Holy Trinity.
Another change we are preparing for in September is in the location of rooms within the school building. We will be moving our Rainbow room to the ground floor so that when children are accessing it they can use our outside areas too. Our library is moving to the top floor so that it will be next door to the playgrounds giving children greater opportunities to use it. Our Music room will move to the first floor so that all of our specialist teaching spaces are together, the music room will now be near the Art room and the Food Tech room. Finally we will also be moving Years 1 and 2 up to the first floor so that they are on the same floor as the children in Years 3, 4, 5 & 6. As I am sure you can imagine this is lots to move and we want to ensure that when children meet their new teacher on Monday 17th July that they can do this in the room that will be their new classroom. This means that over the next 2 weeks we will begin to move things around the building.
Finally, following all the brilliant collaborative work we have been doing with De Beauvoir Primary School we are exploring how we can expand that further so that the children in both schools can benefit from shared expertise and resources. We will update you further on this soon.
