There are lots of Christmas events coming up at Holy Trinity starting with Christmas Display Day this coming Friday (1st December). Every year we decorate the school and the children take part in a display day where they decorate their classrooms, corridors and make Christmas crafts for the Christmas Fair. The year Christmas Display Day coincides with Family Friday so this Friday (1st December) we will be extending the visit for you to stay in the classroom until 10am and take part in the Christmas activities. If you want to attend, there is no need to let us know, when you drop off your child in the morning at 8:45am, simply head on in with them. We have lots of other events coming up such as Christmas Jumper Day, a pantomime coming into school for the children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 & 2, a trip to watch a Christmas film at the cinema for Years 3, 4, 5 & 6, the PTA Christmas Fair and the Christmas Nativity Service.

This week from Monday – Wednesday Year 5 went on their second residential trip to Ufton Court. The took part in so many activities such as feeding and caring for the farm animals, making fires, building dens, cycling, low ropes balance course, preparing and cooking their meals using vegetables they have planted on the previous trips and so much more. Congratulations for the following children who have achieved Hot Chocolate with the Head next week. Well done to Lake in our Nursery, Storm in Reception, Sophia in Year 1, Raemarius in Year 2, Tommy in Year 3, Kayon in Year 4, Amil in Year 5 and Christian in Year 6. In writing, we have looked at 3 different SPAG features. Our final feature was using apostrophes for contraction. We reminded ourselves how to use an apostrophe for contraction and worked with our partners to start with where we underlined two words which can be contracted......
