Book Your Place on the Hackney Summer Choral Course
This Summer, starting on Monday and running for a week is the Hackney Summer Choral Course. The course provides children with an amazing opportunity to learn new songs, compose together, meet new people, perform at St Pauls Cathedral and at the end of the week host a singing concert for the parents and carers. Adventure Playgrounds Open to Children Over the Summer
Free 5 year old+ Adventure Playgrounds
There are a number of free adventure playgrounds that open in term time and in the school holidays:
Evergreen Adventure Playground (Beehive Close, Dalston, E8 3JT) is a child-led adventure playground open all year round providing free, supervised and challenging play to all children aged 5 – 15. Pearson Street Adventure Playground (28 Pearson Street, Hoxton, E2 8EL) is an adventure playground open to all children and young people in Hackney. We offer a free, drop in, play and youth club service for children and young people aged 6 to 16, funded by Young Hackney (Hackney Council). Hackney Marsh Adventure Playground (Daubeney Fields, Kingsmead Way, London E9 5PP) is a free, open access playground for children and young people aged 6 to 15 years old (18 years SEND). Open access means children and young people are free to come and go as they choose and without restrictions. Children are free to play with whom or what they like whilst experiencing levels of risk, stimulation, encouragement and challenge. In the school holidays it is open Monday – Friday – 10.00 am – 5pm. Homerton Grove Adventure Playground (Wardle Street, London, E9 6BX; located opposite Homerton Hospital). Homerton Grove Adventure Playground runs free after school and holiday play schemes for children and young people in Hackney. Children and young people aged 6-15 years old can attend by themselves. Under 6’s are welcome if supervised by an adult. In the school holidays it is open Monday – Friday – 10.30am to 5.30 – (Children and Young People aged 6-16 years); Fridays Only – 10.30am to 12pm (Stay and Play family session – all ages welcome).
