We had a fantastic time at our Black History Month event on the last day before half term. Thank you for joining us to see brilliant work from each year group and to taste delicious food prepared by the school chef, Graham and his brilliant team!
We enjoyed a fascinating assembly in the week before half term, where Aleka Gutzmore told us more about the theme of ‘Reclaiming Narratives’ and interviewed Mrs Gwen Gutzmore, her mother. Gwen told us about arriving in England as a young woman and her many years of service as a nurse, before becoming a school governor for Holy Trinity and Chair of Governors for the Primary Advantage Federation Central Governing Board. We had lots of questions and are very grateful to Aleka and Gwen for their fabulous assembly!
In the week before half term, we enjoyed Holy Moly Family Service at the church, where the children worked to celebrate their individuality by creating a puzzle piece which was joined to show how we are all individual but collectively make a beautiful tapestry!
Please note, we are seeking to expand the choir so that we have more singers at Holy Moly. From this half of term, membership for the choir will be free – on a first come first served basis – for children who can join monthly Holy Moly church services after school on Wednesdays. Please speak to the office if you are interested in a place for your child. We would also love to welcome more families to the church service. Please see the dates of upcoming services in our school planner.
These are this week! If you haven’t signed up yet, please make sure to use the link you were sent before half term. We will also be asking you to check the records the school holds for you, including contacts and contact numbers and medical and dietary requirements, at the meeting.
We look forward to seeing who will be our winners in assembly this week!
