September 2022 – Staffing Changes
As we end this academic year we will be saying goodbye to 4 members of staff in the school. Ms Angela Hunt our Deputy Head and SENCO, Ms Hannah Fenwick and Ms Rebecca Porritt both of whom have been in Year 4 this year and Ms Philippa Hay who has been at Holy Trinity in Year 2 for a number of years. Ms Angela Hunt and Ms Rebecca Porritt are very excited to be starting a new journey in their career outside of London and sadly although Ms Philippa Hay is remaining in London she is now living too far away to continue working at Holy Trinity. Ms Hannah Fenwick is beginning her teacher training and we are looking forward to the possibility of hosting her as a trainee teacher in the coming academic year. As well as saying goodbye to these staff we will be welcoming Ms Cherriffa Grierson who is joining us as our new Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion and SENCO in September. She has spent some time with us already to get to know the children and staff in the school and will be on the gates meeting families in September.
Year 1 – 6 – Sports Day – Weather Updates
We are keeping a close eye on the weather and have altered the run through for sports day so that if we need to return earlier than planned we can do. If it becomes too hot to remain for lunch, we will head back to school for lunch (in the air conditioned hall) and then Years 3 – 6 will finish their sprints back at school on the MUGA, we will let you know who the winners are if we need to do that. Please ensure that you also send your child with 1 or 2 bottles of water for the day, you put sun-cream on and send them with a sun hat.
Transition Day – Class name changes
Some parents have asked why we change the names of classes. When children move into a different year group some teachers move within the school too. When a teacher remains in their year groups they remain in the same in the classroom, classrooms are officially named as either H or T so we rename the class as they move up into another year group. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
After School Enrichment Clubs – Finished for the year
Another reminder that after school enrichment clubs have now finished for this academic year, we are putting together an exciting timetable for children to start again from September 2022.
Closing balances – Please clear current debt
Before the academic year ends please ensure that you have cleared all debt owed to the school, this includes school lunches and wraparound care.
