Improving our Environment
Over the last few weeks, we have made a start on improving our environment, both indoors and out. The gardening club has made a start on clearing and planting ready for Spring growth. We hope to see some green shoots sprouting when we come back after the holidays. They are also going to be planting some very small trees and shrubs after the break to green up some of our spaces.
We’ve had some very positive feedback about the furniture arrangement in the bottom corridor area. Staff and pupils really enjoy having a space to gather and rest or reflect. We hope to make this a more permanent feature.
We are starting work on the entrance area next because we really want to make it a warmer, more welcoming space for parents and visitors than it is at the moment. We have tried a range of ways of getting pictures, art etc to stick on our tricky walls and we think we’ve found a solution so hopefully we can start displaying more in that space during the Summer Term. We’ve managed to apply for a small amount of additional funding to improve the furniture which we hope will be arriving soon. Hopefully, you’ll find this a more comfortable space when you are waiting for a meeting or visiting the school for whatever reason.
If you have any house plants that you could donate we would like to get plants into all the classrooms to give the children plants to care for. Please drop all donations off into the front office at school.
