Reverend Laura is training to run the London Marathon in 2023. The run will be raising money for St Joseph’s hospice in Hackney. St Joseph’s core work is across the boroughs of City and Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Newham, but some of their services are also available to people in the surrounding boroughs of Waltham Forest, Islington, Haringey and Enfield reaching a population of around 2.1 million people. They take a holistic approach to care, which means that they look after the wellbeing of the whole person, as well as their loved ones. They provide palliative care in the Hospice and in the community as they believe that people should choose where they receive their care.
In PE lessons in the week beginning 12th December children will be taking part in a Rudolph Run doing laps of the MUGA wearing their Rudolph antlers. Each child will get a pair of antlers, a poster to colour in, a fun sticker, a thank you message from Santa and a certificate for completion of the run. We will be setting up a Just Giving page so that parents can make donations to sponsor the children online, the donations will go straight to St Joseph’s Hospice.
