Safaplace 2023 Conference – in association with Kooth Digital Health
Safaplace, the young people’s mental health charity, is to host its fifth annual conference on Saturday 13 May.
The FREE to attend conference, which is hosted at Stoke Newington School.
It will showcase some of the many organisations doing great work to support the mental health and well-being of young people in the community and offer a range of workshops to support parents and carers.
This year’s conference theme is ‘It’s On Us’ – how the positive mental health and well- being of young people is a community responsibility.
Over the course of the morning questions will be asked – and advice will be given – about what more we can do to offer and to find support.
Who can attend?
The conference is for parents (and carers), school staff, health professionals and young people aged 14 and upwards.

Reception Class has won the attendance award this week, this means that they will get additional playtime everyday next week as their prize! Well done Reception Class, I wonder who will be in the winner for the following week!

Hot Chocolate with the Head
Well done to the following children who have achieved Hot Chocolate with the Head. Next week I will enjoying a chat and a hot chocolate with Godwin in our Nursery, Amil in Reception, Melina and Raemarius in Year 1, Jacob L and Mai in Year 2, Deniz in Year 3, Kie and Keon in Year 4, Shania and Christian in Year 5 and Julia in Year 6.
What happens if I am late to collect my child?
The following information is available on the school website however we wish to remind parents of what happens when children are collected late. For the 3:30pm collection if the lateness goes beyond 10 minutes a fee of £5 will be applied to your parent pay account for the first hour. If the lateness continues beyond 4:30pm an additional £10 late fee will be applied to your parent pay account. At 5:30pm there will be an additional £10 fee applied and if this lateness goes beyond 6pm then a late fee of £5 per 5 minutes will be applied. If you are meant to be collecting your child between 11:30 – 11:45 and you are late please ensure that you call the school. If the lateness goes beyond 10 minutes a fee of £5 will be applied to your parent pay account.
