Congratulations for the following children who have achieved Hot Chocolate with the Head next week. Well done to Raphael in our Nursery, Malakai in Reception, Liam in Year 1, Ibrahim in Year 2, Kamila in Year 3, Lexi in Year 4, Macey, Jaiya and Tilara in Year 5 and Aahana in Year 6. Next week we have Boom Photography in school taking sibling and individual photographs of the children. Please send children in wearing their school uniform all week and if your child has PE on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday please send in their PE kit and they can get changed in school for their PE lesson. On Monday next week (13th November) it is Odd Socks Day, it is an opportunity for children to wear any socks they choose to show off their uniqueness and creativity. It is for the launch of anti-bullying week. In school we will be working with children on this in classes.
Friday 17th November is Children in Need. We have talked with children about children in need. We will have buckets on the school gates for donations on Friday if you can make one. If your child would like to come to school in their pj’s, wearing spots or just in non uniform they can today to raise money and awareness of children in need. We also know that not wearing their uniform can be dysregulating for some of our children, if your child wants to wear their uniform, that is ok too.
In gardening club, we planted some spring flowering bulbs in pots for outside our classrooms. We enjoyed this so much that we are going to be finding some even bigger pots so that every class can enjoy spring flowers....
In Design and Technology, we have been completing our tote bags. We spent last week practicing different stitches and researching different styles of bag and this week, we put those skills to the test. We designed and then started embroidering our bags before finishing them......
In Design Technology, we used the TinkerCAD app to create our own mazes....
In R.E. we learned all about the importance of remembrance. We looked at what and why we remember and designed our own poppies!...
We began our first Geography lesson of the year! We learnt all about the planet Earth and what it is made up of. We recreated our very own planet Earth to help us learn all 7 continents and 5 oceans. We had so much fun......

We enjoyed making a salt dough Diya for Diwali. We then used salt dough to mould our shapes, then painted it in different colours. Maybe, at home, an adult can add a tea light for us so we can see the beautiful light!...
