Events Next Week – Don’t forget!
Anti-bullying Week – Odd Socks Day – Monday 14th November
Next week is Anti-bullying Week, and although we are always doing work with individuals, classes and year groups on well-being and bullying, we will be doing lots of work in our lessons focussing on anti-bullying and not being a bystander. No school can honestly say that there is no bullying in school, so more importantly it is vital that the children know who to talk to if they are being bullied and also know that they should try to support others that they see/hear being bullied, and report any bullying. To start off the week, we will all be wearing ‘odd socks’ to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique! Look out those bright and beautiful socks to wear on Monday!
Road Safety Week – Wear Your Brightest Outfit – Monday 14th November
The theme of Road Safety Week 2022 is SAFE ROADS FOR ALL, bringing together communities and professionals to shout out for everyone’s right to make safe and healthy journeys on safe roads. Why is Road Safety Week so important?
• Every 22 minutes, someone is killed or seriously injured on a UK road
• Every day, six children are killed or seriously injured on roads in the UK
• In 2021, 1,558 people were killed on roads in Britain, and more than 25,000 people suffered serious injuries
• Road crashes are devastating events for families, friends and communities.
• Road Safety Week gives us all the opportunity to remember those killed or injured on UK roads, and raise funds to help Brake care for road victims and campaign for safe roads for all.
Children in Need – PTA Event – Friday 18th November 2022
On Friday 18th of November we will be having a Children In Need party from 3.30pm to 5pm hosted by the PTA. Come along and bring the whole family. We will have guest appearances, face painting, adult and children raffle prizes, talent show, party music, stalls, henna, party foods and loads of surprises!
Parents can you ask your children if they would like to take part in a talent show followed by a Children in Need Disco on Friday 18th November 2022! Children will perform anything of their choice such as dancing, singing, comedy, magic, poems, etc. Performance should be no longer than two minutes. Please email pta@holytrinity.hackney.sch.uk to sign your child up and let then know the name of a song if your child needs one to be played for their performance.
To be able to run this successfully we need parent volunteers please email the PTA on pta@holytrinity.hackney.sch.uk to let them know you can help.
Finally do you have any unwanted gifts? Any items you bought but never use? Can you donate them for a charitable cause? Please just drop then in the reception for the PTA.
