Year 6 Assembly – Coming Up!This coming Tuesday (23rd January) is the Year 6 class assembly, all parents and carers are invited. Year 6 will be sharing some of their learning and are looking forward to seeing you all there.
Congratulations for the following children who have achieved Hot Chocolate with the Head next week. Well done to Kyrie & Fabian in our Nursery, Evangeline & Raheem in Reception, Lakesia & Imaad in Year 1, Dillan in Year 2, Kaleab in Year 3, Angela & Destiny in Year 4, Zion & Tilara in Year 5, Princess & Mehkai in Year 6. I look forward to chatting with you next week about what you did to achieve Hot Chocolate with the Head.
The winning class for attendance this week is Year 4 with 96.9% – Well done – you will enjoy extra playtime next week! In second place is Year 3 with 96.7%, so close! In third place is Year 5 with 95.1%.
In gardening club this week, we planned out our minibeast hotels. Over the next two weeks, we will gather items to create a friendly micro habitat for the diverse needs of our garden. We hope that our local mini beasts find our hotels warming in......

In our Science lessons this term we are learning about Light. Children have been looking at different objects and working in pairs to establish whether those objects are a source of light or not....

In music, year 6 having been getting to grips with learning how to play the ukulele. They have been looking at different chords and have successfully learnt two different chords to play along with some pop songs....

This week in Nursery, we explored snow and ice in many different ways. We described the feeling of touching them and shared our experiences, we drew them, we used our play dough to make snowflakes and finally we used iced paint to colour and make......
This week we explored odd and even numbers using Numicon. We first ordered the numbers to 10 to make a numberline. After this we sorted the Numicon into shapes made of pairs and shapes made of one ‘extra’ one which stuck out at the top.......
This week we went to Britannia Leisure Centre to participate in the Festival of Sports. We won the team spirit trophy....
