Collective Worship
The school enjoys an active partnership with the local parish church, Holy Trinity in Dalston. We have a daily act of Christian worship for the whole school community which supports and contributes to the spiritual flourishing of all. Collective worship is inclusive, invitational and inspiring, providing pupils with the opportunity to pray or reflect. We also visit our church for services to celebrate important Christian festivals such as Harvest, Christmas and Easter.
As a Church of England school, we have Christian teaching built into our curriculum, assemblies and acts of collective worship. Rev. Laura Luz comes into school weekly to lead assemblies and collective worship. When Rev. Laura leads an our weekly assembly she follows the Collective Worship Calendar, based on the Lectionary, the link for which is here.
Our Collective Worship Policy can be found here.
We aim to teach children about the beliefs and customs of other faiths, to foster sensitivity and understanding towards those whose religion and cultures are different from their own.
There are monthly services family at Holy Trinity Church, usually on the first Wednesday of the month and the school singing group performs. Please check our events calendar to find out when the next one will be.
