Our Youth Curate Reverend Josie delivered a thought provoking assembly this week to introduce us to the period of Lent.
During Lent, we remember a time when Jesus went into the desert to pray and fast for 40 days. While he was there, he faced challenges which tested his patience and strength. But Jesus stayed focused on God and made the right choices.
This teaches us that even when we face hard times or things that try to distract us, we should trust God and stay true to what’s right. Just like Jesus was a shining light in the world, we can be a shining light too! When we make good choices and show love and kindness, we help others see God’s love in us.
