14 Oct Does your child (aged 7-11) have trouble sleeping?
If your child is aged 7-11 and has trouble sleeping, I would love to talk to you.
If you would like to speak to someone about these difficulties, to be involved in this study, please click on the link to a questionnaire at the end of the information sheet.
Who am I?
My name is Amy. I’m studying for the professional Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology at the Tavistock and Portman NHS trust. I am on placement in Hackney Education.
What is the research about?
Your views of your children’s sleep difficulties. I hope to find out what support you want and what might help or get in the way of accessing that support.
What will taking part involve?
- Completing a very quick questionnaire online.
- Talking with me in an interview that will last a maximum of one hour.
You can do just the questionnaire. At the end there is an option to add your contact details to allow me to contact you about an interview.
If you agree to take part in the questionnaire, what happens next?
If you would like to take part, please click on the link to the questionnaire at the bottom of this sheet. You will be connected to the questionnaire which will start with some consent questions to check you still want to be involved.
Your personal information
Your information in the questionnaire part of the study will be anonymous. I will not receive any personally identifiable details that will enable your information to be linked to you.
Can you change your mind?
Taking part is voluntary and you are free to withdraw from the research at any time without giving a reason. Because your participation in the questionnaire is anonymous, once you have submitted the questionnaire, I will not be able to remove the data as I will not know who the responses belong to.
What happens to the information I gather?
Information collected from the questionnaire will be analysed and written up in a document that will be held at the Tavistock and Portman library. I also hope to publish the general themes from the study in the future.
