Ask our Reception children all about subitising!

We have been exploring subitising collections up to 5. We have been using lots of different strategies to retell the amount we see such as head nodding, using invisible paint to dot the air, flashing our fingers or growing our fingers. Ask us all about it!

We even tried to remember what we saw and used our acorns to replicate it. During our choosing and jobs time, we used our big dice outside to subitise the dots up to 5. We had a go at drawing some of our collections and numerals using big chalk too!
