Civil Rights with Rosa Parks in Year 4

In writing, we immersed ourselves in the inspirational story about Rosa Parks and the bus boycott. This week, we have discussed and explored the story and put ourselves into the perspective of the outraged people of Montgomery, Alabama in the 1950s. We used hot-seating to ask questions of Rosa Parks and of people from that era. We created banners to protest for civil rights on buses. On Friday, have written a persuasive open letter to citizens of Alabama, persuading them to protest for equal rights.
