15 Dec Festive Fun in Nursery!
What a Busy Week We Had in Nursery!
This week in Nursery was full of festive cheer and learning fun! We began exploring a new story, “Dear Santa”. This charming tale took us on an adventure with Santa as he searched for the perfect gift, ending with a delightful surprise that had the children captivated.
Our small world tray transformed into the magical North Pole , sparking imaginative play and curiosity about Santa’s home. The children enjoyed creating their own stories in this frosty winter wonderland.
We also went on a pattern hunt around the classroom! The children spotted patterns on displays, toys, and even their clothes! This exciting activity helped reinforce their pattern recognition skills in a fun and interactive way.
For our creative project, we made Christmas wreaths using paper plates and fabric scraps. The children worked hard to follow patterns, extending their maths learning while expressing their creativity. Each wreath was unique and festive, bringing lots of pride to our little artists.
To wrap up the week, we practised our fine motor skills by wrapping presents. The children showed great focus and excitement as they carefully folded paper and added ribbons to their “gifts.”
It’s been a wonderful start to the festive season in our Nursery. We look forward to more holiday-themed fun in the coming week!
