Fish families in Reception

We loved visiting our school pond and seeing the colourful fish living there! We discovered that there were big and small fish and maybe even some families in there too. We found lots of shapes in and around the pond and spoke a lot about being safe around the water. We connected it to our story ‘Stanley’s Stick’ and used our own fishing stick to go ‘pretend fishing’. We even found a ‘Pudsey’ fish because it was spotty just like Pudsey is! We are really excited to visit them again and see if the fish have changed.
