26 Jan Lots of Learning in Nursery!
This week has been full of learning, creativity, and exploration in Nursery! Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to:
Exploring 2D Shapes
We had so much fun learning about 2D shapes and their properties! From circles to squares, triangles to rectangles, we explored the shapes around us. The highlight of our week was an exciting Shape Hunt in the playground, where we discovered shapes hidden in everyday objects. The children felt like true shape experts as they drew the shapes they found on their clipboards – such focus and enthusiasm!
Storytime with “Snowy Day”
The much-loved story “Snowy Day” captured our imaginations this week! We retold the story together, helping the children build their language and storytelling skills. Everyone did an amazing job “overlearning” the tale, and the creativity shone as we used it as inspiration for our first-ever list poem about snow.
Creative Winter Fun
To embrace the snowy theme, we had a blast drawing snowmen and crafting glittery snowflakes with playdough. The children explored textures, practiced their fine motor skills, and let their creativity run wild with their frosty creations.
It’s been such a joy seeing the children engage and grow through these activities. We can’t wait for more adventures next week!
