12 Jan Magnetism in Year 3
In year 3, we have been exploring the fascinating world of magnets and learning to distinguish between contact and non-contact forces. Through our investigations, we discovered that push and pull forces are examples of contact forces, requiring objects to physically touch to exert force. The children thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with magnets, observing how they attract and repel without direct contact, sparking curiosity and excitement as they uncovered the unique properties of magnetic forces. This hands-on learning experience allowed them to engage deeply with scientific concepts while fostering their investigative skills.
