Hi All,
Can I start by saying how much we are missing seeing you. Here at Holy Trinity we are beginning to get used to what seems to be the new normal for some time. We hope that you are all following government advice and staying safe during this very challenging time. Please let us know if we can help you in anyway. We will be telephoning your children from time to time however this may not be their class teacher so please pick up and just say hi.
Right, let’s talk about home learning! Under no circumstances are we expecting you to teach your children new concepts whilst they are at home. The resources that are shared with you and your children through Google classroom are there to help support you in your time at home. You should not feel under any pressure to be teaching your children new learning. Most of the resources shared are a review of previous learning or activities that you can complete at home.
We know that many of you are working from home and caring for your children which is a very tricky balance at the best of times and these are certainly not those. Ultimately, please remember that you know what is best for your child during these difficult times and so you need to do what is right from them and right for you. All children returning to school when the time comes will be in the same boat, all will have had the same period of time out of school and across the country that will have to be recognised. This is not something that we can worry about now, there is enough going on, we will come to that when the time is right.
If you think that you may be eligible for free school meals but have not registered with the learning trust please do so by following the link here. The government has released new guidance on free school meals so we are working hard to move over to the new system they released information on yesterday.
We look forward to speaking to you when we call.
Take care,
Ms Catherine Thomas
