19 Jan Nursery’s Winter Learning
This week, we continued exploring our exciting topic: Winter! The children engaged in a variety of creative and hands-on activities:
- Snow-People Creations: We built snow-people using playdough and drew them with chalk, sparking imagination and fine motor skills.
- Ice Art: The children experimented with drawing ice cubes on our whiteboard and painted using icy paint, discovering textures and colours in the process. They also explored mixing colours, creating beautiful blends and shades while learning about colour combinations!
- Science Fun: We participated in a science experiment to observe how ice melts, promoting curiosity and early scientific thinking.
- Story Re-enactment: Finally, we re-enacted our core text, The Snowy Day, using our small world tray. It brought the story to life in a fun and interactive way!
The children have had a wonderful time learning and playing together this week
