Willow Pattern Story in Year 4

In writing, we have started reading the beautiful  ‘Willow Pattern Story’ by Allan Drummond. The story is pictured in the very famous willow pattern blue and white crockery still used today. At the start of the week, we immersersed ourselves into the story and made our own willow pattern and created similes to prepare us for writing a setting description of the story. 4T flew Miss Porritt away with their use of figurative language… She felt as if she was there in China, in the paradise garden!
