World Book Day Activities Based on ‘The Giving Tree’ by Shel Silverstein in Year 3!

As part of World Book Day, Year 3 has been reading ‘The Giving Tree’ by Shel Silverstein. The book explores themes of kindness and  selflessness. The children enjoyed a variety of engaging activities: writing setting descriptions, designing alternative book covers and crafting their own paper bag tree. To end the day, we took a small trip to the local library and enjoyed a book mark making workshop. It was a major success!
