Birthday Fun in Nursery

This week has been full of excitement in Nursery, as we continued our fun exploration of Birthday parties! The children had a wonderful time learning about all the things that make Birthdays so special.

We used our creativity and imagination to design our own Birthday cakes, make colourful party hats, and decorate balloons, using different art techniques of our choice.

In literacy, we focused on the story “So Much” — the children loved joining in and were able to retell the story independently, remembering all the family members, their actions and their words!

In maths, we consolidated our subitising skills by playing a game called “The Tricky Two,” where the children had lots of fun spotting pairs of cubes and practising quick number recognition.

It’s been a joyful, creative, and hands-on week of learning!
