Learning about London in Year 1 Humanities

This week, Year 1 have shown fantastic effort and enthusiasm, particularly in Humanities. We began exploring The UK and London, learning about each of the four countries and the special symbols that represent them — from capital cities to national flowers and iconic animals.

The children have really enjoyed discovering more about where we live, and our Writing lessons have beautifully linked to the story Katie in London. Through this, pupils have been able to spot and describe famous London landmarks, making their learning both meaningful and fun.
