Leafy Learning in Nursery!

This week in Nursery we continued to enjoy our core story, Leaf Man. We overlearned the story and retold it using key Makaton signs, which helped the children build confidence and understanding.

We drew patterns on leaves, then used our imagination to create our own playdough leaf men, adding natural resources to bring them to life. In Art we had lots of fun making leaf hedgehogs by sticking dry leaves onto the spiky animal shape.

In Maths we compared quantities and talked about how numbers change, using words such as more, lots, fewer and less.
In Phonics we explored our second sound, a, and played the sound game What’s in the Box?

It has been a busy and creative week in Nursery, and we are excited for more learning ahead.
