Nursery Compare Anna Hibiscus’ Life in Nigeria with Life in the UK

This week we kicked off our exciting new topic: Country Comparison, starting with our core text Anna Hibiscus’ Song. Through the story, we began exploring life in Nigeria and noticed some big differences from our own experiences!

We had lots of fun learning about African wildlife—drawing lions, and even rescuing muddy animals in our sensory play! We also explored African patterns by copying them on the chalkboard and decorating dresses inspired by animal skins and natural designs.

It’s been a lively and creative week—full of discovery and hands-on learning!
