Gardening Club: Learning about Bulbs and Feeding the Birds!

We were so pleased to welcome new members to Gardening Club this week, where our weekly focus was on bulbs. We looked at how bulbs differ from seeds, and how their structure allows them to survive through the cold winter months. We learnt that different flowers grow from different bulbs, such as daffodils, tulips, crocuses and alliums. We then did some weeding (as some of our plants didn’t survive the hot summer months) and filled up our bird feeders, ready to help feed our local bird population.
