Year 6 Visit Kew Gardens to See Henry Moore’s Sculptures

In art, we have been learning all about the artist Henry Moore and exploring how his experiences during World War II inspired many of his sketches, drawings and sculptures.

This week, Year 6 took a trip to Kew Gardens to see his work in person. The children really enjoyed seeing his artwork up close and thinking about how the shapes, forms and ideas in his work connect with the world around us.

It was a fantastic opportunity to bring our art learning to life and see the work of an inspiring British artist in such a beautiful setting!
