Clergy Collective Worship: John 4: Jesus Meets the Samaritan Woman

In celebration of International Women’s Day, we reflected on the story in John 4 where Jesus meets the Samaritan woman at the well. In this passage, Jesus speaks to her about “living water,” the gift of eternal life. He reveals that He knows her life, showing that He is a prophet, and then tells her that He is the Messiah.

The woman returns to her town and shares her encounter with Jesus, and through her testimony many people come to believe in Him. Her story reminds us of the powerful role women play in sharing faith and bringing hope to others.
