Digging deep to improve our vocabulary in Year 1

In our Writing lessons, we have been learning the story of ‘We’re going on a Bear Hunt’. Here we are exploring the textures and settings from the story!

For the rest of this term we will also be reading about ‘Fantastically Great Women who changed the World’ and Rachel Isadora’s adaptation of the classic tale ‘Hansel and Gretel’. This version of the story is set deep in a lush African forest!

Our Science focus for Spring term 1 is living things, whilst in History we will be comparing the reign of famous monarchs such as Queen Cleopatra and our current Queen.
