Drama and Role Play in Year 2

 As part of our Writing lesson, the children explored the story Pumpkin Soup, by Helen Cooper, through drama and role play. They worked together to act out key scenes, using movement, expression and dialogue to bring the characters to life. This helped the children to deepen their understanding of the story, the characters’ feelings and the sequence of events, supporting them in developing ideas for their own writing.
