Lots of Farm Themed Learning in Nursery!

This week in Nursery, we continued our farm-themed learning with the story What the Ladybird Heard. We helped the two thieves recall their “cunning plan” to steal the fine prize cow and had fun rehearsing the rhymes with Makaton actions.

The children got hands-on with farm life by trying their hand at “milking a cow” in our garden provision!

In maths, we explored the concept of weight, comparing light and heavy objects and using scales to measure them.

A highlight of the week was our bridge-building challenge, inspired by The Three Billy Goats Gruff. Using paper and other materials, the children designed and built safe, sturdy bridges to help the goats cross.
