07 Apr Lots of Learning Fun in Nursery!
This week, we finished reading The Easter Story and explored the celebration further using our small world tray. We read lots of books about Easter, and Spot’s First Easter inspired us to go on an exciting Easter egg hunt in the playground! Along the way, we learned new positional language like under, inside, beside, and on top.
We had so much fun decorating eggs using colourful pasta and scrunched up tissue paper to create a beautiful flowery effect.
We also learned about Eid Al-Fitr! To celebrate, we made our own moon and star decorations using paper plates while practising our scissor skills.
This week a new routine has been added to our mornings—practising writing our names on laminated cards! It was exciting to recognise our own names and give writing a go.
In Maths, we worked on showing “finger numbers” up to five, using our hands to represent numbers in a fun and interactive way.
Finally, a magical moment in our classroom—some of our butterflies emerged from their cocoons! We loved watching them and even had the chance to feed them.
It’s been a busy and exciting week! We can’t wait for more learning and fun ahead.
