17 Oct Making ‘Cupcakes’ in the Two Year Old Room!
The children really enjoyed this hands-on exploration activity, crushing Weetabix, scooping it up, sprinkling it into their bowls and plates, and making cupcakes!
In addition to the fun, they all had an opportunity to build strength in their fingers and wrists, explore their senses without being tempted to eat the Weetabix, and expand their vocabulary learning to use words like: rough, crunchy and flaky.
The activity also encouraged their peer interaction, turn-taking with the plates and the cutlery, and their cognitive abilities in solving problems!
