Materials hunt in Year 1

Our topic in Science is ‘Everyday materials’ and we have been using the skill of classifying and sorting. We looked at a range of objects and tried to sort them into groups based on their properties. For example we said that both tin foil and scissors are shiny! We also played an odd one out game where one object had different properties to all of the others. We are becoming experts at sorting and classifying!
