Maths: Mastering Time in Year 2

This week in Maths, the children have been developing their understanding of telling the time, focusing on o’clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to. They enjoyed creating their own clocks, carefully adding hour and minute hands to support their learning. These handmade clocks have been taken home so the children can continue practising over the half-term holiday. After the break, they will move on to telling the time in five-minute intervals, building on the confidence they have already developed.
