22 Nov Nursery’s Busy Week of Learning
Our Leaf Man adventures continued this week as we brought the story to life using our very own handmade Leaf Man puppets! With our creations from last week, we imagined all the wonderful places the wind might carry him. The children came up with amazing ideas — from forests and mountain tops to beaches and city streets — and had so much fun acting out Leaf Man’s windy journey.
After “the wind” blew each Leaf Man around our playground, we played a lively game of hide-and-seek to find where they landed. Using our classroom iPad, the children helped capture photos of each hiding spot — with lots of giggles and surprises along the way!
In RE, we began learning about the Nativity story. The children helped set up a cosy manger scene in our home corner. This special space has quickly become a favourite for role play.
In Phonics, we’ve started tuning into sounds all around us and introduced our very first letter sound — M! The children have enjoyed spotting things that start with ‘M’ and practising the sound together.
It’s been another fun-filled, imaginative week in nursery as we let the wind (and our creativity!) carry us into new adventures.
