22 Jun Nursery’s Learning Fun This Week
This week, we finished reading Anna Hibiscus’ Song. Inspired by Anna’s happiness song, we talked about what makes us happy and created our very own Nursery Happiness Poem!
We also reviewed the story, sharing our favourite parts and drawing pictures to match. We learned new words like hibiscus, and even tried drawing one on a large scale on our chalkboard—great practice for our gross motor skills.
In creative play, we made African animals using playdough and created colourful handprint art with paint.
In maths, we solved real-life problems using numbers up to 5. And in phonics, we learned the new sound S—we practised writing it while chanting “Slither down the snake!”
It’s been a fun, creative, and busy week in Nursery!
