27 Mar Nursery’s Learning this Week
This week in Nursery, we continued reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar and explored the life cycle of a butterfly. We learned about the four stages: egg, caterpillar, chrysalis, and butterfly. Our real caterpillars in the classroom have now reached the chrysalis stage—we’re excited to see them emerge as butterflies soon!
We had lots of fun creating caterpillars with playdough and decorating butterflies made out of paper plates. Our fruit-tasting activity was a big hit! We described the different fruits we had tried using adjectives, helping to build our vocabulary.
To celebrate Mother’s Day, we worked together to create a special poster using the pointillism technique, making a beautiful flower effect with paint. We also made cards and a small gift to show our mums just how much we love them.
In maths, we continued exploring patterns, focusing on spotting and correcting errors—a great way to sharpen our problem-solving skills.
It’s been another exciting and creative week in Nursery!
