Nursery’s Minibeast Learning!

This week we continued exploring our core text “Aaaargh, Spider!” and discovered lots of fascinating facts about spiders. The children were especially curious about where spiders’ webs come from, how many legs they have, and how many eyes! They also enjoyed drawing spiders and creating their own, using materials like paper plates and playdough.

We also enjoyed pretending to be minibeasts using masks we found in our home corner this week.

In maths, we focused on positional language. The children had fun placing a toy spider in different positions—in, on and under a bowl. They also followed instructions using a ball and parachute to explore words like over, under and beside.
