So Much Fun and Learning in Nursery!

This week, we enjoyed the wonderful story So Much! The children loved listening to how a family came together to plan a big surprise for their dad’s Birthday.

Inspired by the story, the children created their own Birthday cards, each one filled with imagination and care. To make it even more exciting, we set up a special letterbox in the classroom, where they proudly posted their cards. This activity gave them a fun way to practice their early writing skills sparking joy and excitement around Birthdays.

At the playdough table, the children baked pretend cakes, while at the art table they designed and decorated Birthday cakes, practising their cutting skills with scissors along the way.

In Maths, we explored the words “more” and “lots”, using them to describe and compare collections. The children enjoyed using these new words in their play and problem-solving, as well as learning their corresponding Makaton action.

It has been a busy and joyful week, full of creativity, learning and celebration!
