Year 2 Materials Investigation in Science

This week, Year 2 have been learning all about materials as part of their Science unit. The children explored both the classroom and the playground, identifying and sorting objects made from metal, glass, wood, fabric and plastic. Through hands-on investigation and discussion, they compared different materials and thought about why certain materials are chosen for specific purposes. The children showed great curiosity and teamwork while exploring their environment and developing their scientific vocabulary.
