Year 5 Art – Celebrating Claudia Jones and Notting Hill Carnival!

This week in Art, Year 5 have been exploring the inspiring life and legacy of Claudia Jones, a remarkable woman who championed equality, diversity and community. Inspired by her contribution to the beginnings of the Notting Hill Carnival, the children created vibrant and colourful artwork reflecting the joy, culture and creativity of this celebration. Through bold colours, they represented the powerful qualities that defined who she was as a person. The children enjoyed expressing their creativity while celebrating the powerful message of bringing people together and embracing different cultures. What a fantastic way to combine art, history and meaningful values!
