25 Jun Gardening Club Make Pollinator Suncatchers
We began Gardening Club this week by learning about our flower of the week – foxgloves. We learnt that, whilst beautiful, they are highly poisonous and should never be ingested, either by humans or pets, but that pollinators, such as bees, love them.
Our outdoor plants received a much needed a drink during Tuesday morning’s downpour during the lightning storm, so Gardening Club sheltered from the heat outdoors (as no watering needed this week!) and remained in our much cooler, shady science lab. We spent our session creating sun-catchers of pollinators to decorate the windows above our ever growing collection of plants.
